Course Description

Without routers, the modern enterprise network would not exist. Nor, in fact, would the internet. In this course, you'll explore the operation of routers. You will learn the difference between static and dynamic routing and examine popular dynamic routing protocols in use today. You will learn how routing protocols use metrics to choose the best path through a network and you will discover what information is stored inside a routing table, and how routing tables use this information to forward packets through the network to their destinations.
