Course Description

From web browsing to email, the most widely used applications in TCP/IP networks use application layer protocols that rely on TCP to provide reliable delivery. In this course, you will become familiar with several TCP of these TCP applications. You will learn to identify the features and functions of Telnet, and you'll understand the internal operations of FTP. You'll be able to describe the codes used in FTP, SMTP, and HTTP, and you'll know the difference between SMTP, POP,and IMAP.
