Foundation Subscription > Software Development > Read Database Data with Entity Framework
Course Description
Entity Framework is Microsoft's ORM (Object Relational Mapping) framework. An ORM exposes relational data (like you might find in a relational database) as objects (like you might find in C# code). In this course, you will create an Entity Framework Model from an existing database, read data from a database using your EF model, learn about the "Code First" development approach to an existing database, and learn to improve the performance of your queries by selecting between lazy, eager, or explicit data loading.
  • At least six months of programming experience using the Microsoft .NET framework and C#.
  • Some experience with SQL is assumed.
